Dr. Stephanie Forbes
NetworkSpinal Practioner
Dr. Stephanie is thrilled to be joining The Hive, bringing with her nearly two decades of caring for individuals and families through a deep devotion to the extraordinary inborn intelligence and healing capacity of the human spine and nervous system.
Dr. Stephanie is relationally, energetically and developmentally attuned. She is fascinated with living systems and how they heal, grow, and evolve. With each practice member, she supports the emergence of their continuing healing and full potential. She views healing not as an endpoint, but as an ongoing conversation between their body, their relationships, and their quality of life. Through this lens, she senses developmental organization and how it expresses itself through the body, offering nuance for continued growth and healing in the people she serves.
She loves caring for whole families, from pregnant moms and newborns to great grandparents. She has extensive experience working with highly sensitive and neurodivergent individuals, as well as serving practice members with a history of developmental trauma.
Dr. Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin and was licensed as a Registered Dietitian. She later completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life Chiropractic College West, where she graduated summa cum laude as valedictorian of her class. She practiced in Durango, Colorado for 11 years before moving back to Austin in late 2019. She continues to deepen her understanding of nervous system evolution through ongoing postgraduate study.
She is the mother of two older teens and is dedicated to cultivating lifelong connection and experiencing ongoing adventures with them. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time in nature, bike riding, swimming, writing, and exploring South Austin with her rescue dog, Willow.
